Independent Privacy Audits & Data Rights Tests
At DailyBuzzGlobal, our Latest Investigations section is where we publish hands-on, independent audits of the devices and services that handle your personal data every day.
Unlike news aggregation, every investigation listed here is based on a direct test conducted in our lab. We do not rely on press releases or vendor claims. We install the device, route its traffic through a controlled network, and record what it actually sends, stores, and shares.
Our current investigations focus on four core areas:
1. Smart Home & IoT Telemetry: We audit robot vacuums, smart TVs from Samsung and LG, Amazon Alexa devices, and connected cars. Our tests reveal how often these devices upload mapping data, voice snippets, ACR screenshots, and location logs, and whether they comply with GDPR deletion requests.
2. Operating System & Hardware Privacy: We test Windows 11 features like Recall, clipboard history, and hardware-based AI decoupling. For each test, we measure how many screenshots are saved per second, how long data is retained after you turn the feature off, and how to reclaim hardware resources.
3. Cloud & SaaS Data Harvesting: We investigate cloud storage AI scraping, AI SaaS API migrations, and ISP router protocols like TR-069. We show you how to encrypt your data before upload, enable DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), and whitelist or blacklist IPs and countries.
4. Pricing & Consumer Rights: We track dynamic pricing traps in flight and hotel bookings and smart display markups. We run 72-hour tracking tests to document how your browsing history affects the price you see.
This page is updated weekly. Each entry includes the full methodology, packet captures, and step-by-step mitigation guides so you can apply the same protections at home. Our goal is to give you verifiable, actionable data rights — not just headlines.
